Hidden Feature in the Wiimote

Apparently there are some rumblings going around that the Wii Remote (Wiimote) has some sort of converter hidden inside that is capable of converting analog data (human voice perhaps) into a digital data stream. This could very well be used in regards to editing voice-chat in future online Wii titles but who really knows? Maybe Nintendo has much bigger plans for this little guy than we could ever dream, or maybe it will go the way of the ports on the bottom of the Gamecube and the Nintendo 64.

Check out the article over at CNN Money for more details.

Very interesting. The folks at Nintendo sure used the DS microphone to good advantage. I'm sure they have some snazzy stuff in store for the Wiimote if the economics justify it.
