If you didn't think the Nintendo Wii was totally in the spotlight when it came to the general media, it's finally time to start believing. According to PC Magazine the Nintedo Wii is "the best product ever." Feel free to check out his reasons, and Sony bashing, right here, or you can just read the headline and understand the jist of it. I thought it was particularly funny how he compares Nintendo to Luke Skywalker in Star Wars. If he's quoting Star Wars he must know a thing or two about technology right?
In all reality though, this guy almost seems bitter towards Microsoft and somewhat moreso towards Sony. I also found it interesting that he only mentions two games, Wii Sports and Tiger Woods, as his examples for why this system is the best product ever. Am I wrong or does the iPod allow you to put any song ever created on the thing, and the NES and Playstation allow so much awesome, and easy to play, gaming. Not to take anything away from the Wii, or give anything extra to iPods (not really that big a fan) but come on, the best product ever? Give it another 3 years before we start making statements like this.

The Wii is pretty great, but I wouldn't go as far as "best product ever". I would say that the Wii is the best gaming product to date. With virtualization, there's almost nothing that classic contending systems did that the Wii can't do. So it's easily as good as them all. It's definitely better than the 360 and PS3: if I wanted realism, I'd go to the park. If it weren't for the virtual console, it might be a close call, but as it stands, the only thing missing from the Wii is portability and dual screens. And that's just not enough to lose the crown.
Ha ha ha, that's true, the Wii doesn't have two screens. You know what, you may be on to something here for the Wii 2 (or as I like to call it, Longer Wii). If they added a second screen it really could be the best system ever made. But still, I think the Smiley Rock is the best product ever.
Smiley Rock?!?!?! Are you kidding? They had nothing on the Pet Rock. It was by far the greatest rock product of all time.
I think calling the Wii the greatest of anything after 6 months on the market is very premature. It is cool technology and has fun games so far, but it will take more creative uses for the technology for it to be the "best".
Until the Wii can give me constant happyness everytime I walk in the door with nothing but a big smile and rockish body, it will never be the best product ever.
oh tanoockidude man, the wii aint the best product ever man. are you for real? and whats wrong with super real specs and cool graphics like the PS3? hows the wii better than that? if it ain even the best picture and graphics of video gaming stuff, how is it the best system ever, or the best product ever. ya know what im sayin. but you want to talk about best ever. the wii is like that sayin you know that says you can lead a horse to water but in the end it'll probaly just piss in it and you jus got ta ask yourself why, and its cuz your thirsty, you know what im sayin. it kinda is like that?
Well the headline actually has nothing to do with my personal opinion. I do NOT think the Wii is the best product ever. In fact, I think it is very far down the list. If I were you I would click on the link in the blog entry and send you hate to that guy because I agree with you, the Wii has a long way to go to claim that title.
